Women and girls are a growing and driving force in the world of Parkour! There are still some countries however, where this is not the case. IPF is changing that. In these countries, practicing parkour does present specific challenges for female athletes, both physical and cultural, but the lack of access to more experienced female mentors is perhaps the greatest challenge of all. There is no fundamental reason why there should not be full gender parity in Parkour. IPF has dedicated itself to finding these female mentors from around the world and connecting them with young girls and women new to the sport in female-only forums and meet-ups.
